Choices?

Do you get overwhelmed or excited by a lot of choices? Does this same overwhelm or excitement apply to all areas of your life or does it differ?

"Decision Fatigue" is a commonly known term, but what about "Decision Excitement"? I tend to bounce back and forth between the two extremes, and then time and time again end up finding my grounding in a place that allows for "Intentional Flexibility".

If I try to over control, over schedule, and over analyze I usually get burned out, which is followed up with feelings of failure. If I don't take the time to have some sense of ownership about how I allocate my time, I feel panicky, overwhelmed, and a bit angry about not getting my needs met.

Typically, I make a gentle plan of ideas/wishes for the week, have a framework of how my time is allocated, but then allow flexibility. I find paper works well because the exact nature of an online calendar feels to black and white.

How do you get things done that you value?
