Success My Way

I went to elementary school with the same group of kids for three years. My perception is that all of them are quite successful compared to me...a few doctors, university professors, graphic designer, research nurse, software engineer, etc. Then there's me. I took a risk moving overseas after a period of personal loss, had a kid, and have felt challenged about my professional identity throughout. To top it off, I feel fraudulent for not feeling "successful" when I help others feel successful on their own terms.

Do I get up every day and put time and energy into my professional self? YES

Has it been easy to keep going despite no external feedback or recognition yet? NO

Do I feel like I'm doing the best I can? YES

Does it feel like enough? NO

My Point:

Following your intuition and aligning with your own definition of success is no joke. It takes patience, perseverance, and passion to create your own unique story.
