Bran Muffins

3 C Wheat Bran

1 C Boiling Water

1/2 C Butter (113 gm)

2/3 C Brown Sugar

2 Eggs

2 C Buttermilk

1/2 C Molasses

2 1/2 C Flour

1 TBSP Soda

1/2 TBSP Powder

1/4 tsp Salt


  1. Preheat oven to 200 C.

  2. Cover the bran with boiling water, stir, and set aside.

  3. Combine dry ingredients.

  4. Combine melted butter and the sugar then add the remaining wet ingredients.

  5. Add wet to dry and stir then add bran.

  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
